Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.

The event will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
