The President Invites Loved Ones of Injured National Guard Personnel to the Presidential Residence
Former President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has asked the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the presidential home.
He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “devastated”.

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a violent incident on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The president stated he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the families of both soldiers of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, visit the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” the president informed the press. “And likewise with him, recover or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been working with the military unit as part of Trump’s government program to aid law enforcement in the capital.

“Sarah was the individual that educators wished for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,” the principal, the leader of Beckstrom’s alma mater, told the Associated Press. “She was caring, compassionate and always ready to assist people.”
Memorial plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.
The incident prompted the Trump administration to suspend asylum applications and temporarily stop providing visas to holders of travel documents.

Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, as reported by the news agency.
He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey said on television.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had courage,” the governor addressed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
