In a surprising partnership that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
